Christmas help needed for 2 boys

staradmire started this conversation
We had been adopted by someone for thanksgiving and christmas, no one ever showed with a thanksgiving dinner for us. So we didnt have one this year. They didnt show for thanksgiving, I doubt they will for christmas.

My husband had to get surgery on his foot, was suppose to be off work for a month. He developed a blood clot in his leg the day after surgery, and was in severe pain, until the right doctor could diganose what was wrong. They put him in the hospital for a few days. It is still there, with the blood thinner he is on and his job, the doctor wants to keep him off work for an additional 2 weeks. This takes us past christmas.
Monday they did a cat scan on him because he started having these migraine headaches, they thought he might be bleeding in the brain. Now he is on medicine for those, the cat scan came out clear, thank goodness.
He gets 60% of his pay for sick leave, but out of that we have to pay $150 every 2 weeks for our health insurance. His check for 2 weeks was $137.00. We are not going to have enough money to pay our bills, buy groceries, gas for the car, car insurance, car payment, let alone pay for all the medicine he is on.

My sons will have nothing this year for christmas. They are teenagers, 14 and 16, but would still like something to open this year. I feel terrible, they understand the best they can, but still depressed knowing they will have nothing. They dont ask for much, in fact have asked for little things this year, knowing we would have been able to get them something with the one check he would have received right before christmas, but with him off for 2 more weeks, it means there will be nothing. Any offer that anyone could give to help us through this rough time, would be greatly appreciated.
